Dr. Gordon graduated from Cornell University School of Veterinary Medicine in1990 after receiving an undergraduate degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Northwestern University. He started working at Walnut Street Veterinary Clinic in 1995, and brought the clinic to it's new location on Cornell Road in 2011. His family has two golden retrievers, two cats, three chickens and a rabbit.
Dr. Gordon believes that people's lives are enriched by their interactions with pets, and by taking care of our pets, we become better people. Dr. Gordon is certified to perform PennHip x-rays and is experienced taking and submitting x-rays to OFA. He is also trained to perform the Tibial Tuberosity Advancement (TTA) procedure for canine cranial cruciate injuries. He is skilled in chronic ear infection issues, orthopedics and allergic conditions in dogs and cats.
Dr. Randy Larrison:
Dr. Randy Larrison graduated from Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1998, after receiving his undergraduate degree in animal science at Oregon State University. He has special interests in internal and geriatric medicine. Educating clients,especially new puppy and kitten owners, is important to Dr. Larrison as this establishes that important bond between the pet and family that will last the rest of their lives.
Dr. Larrison enjoys the outdoors and is heavily involved with his children's sports. His family has a blue heeler named Gabby and a cat named Maddie.
Dr. Katie Markusen:
Dr. Markusen, a native oregonian, is a graduate of Oregon State College of Veterinary Medicine and joined our practice in 2006. Dr. Markusen isparticularly interested in preventative, geriatric and internal medicine.She believes that educating owners, while providing compassionate, quality medical care to be essential in helping them make good decisions about the care of their pets.
In her free time, Dr. Markusen enjoys exploring the outdoors of Oregon, activities with her daughters, and trips to the beach with her family including her two dogs Betty and Suzie.
Dr. Joanna Shoberg:
Dr. Shoberg grew up in Wilsonville, Oregon. She received her bachelor degree in Animal Sciences in 2008, and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 from Oregon State University. Her interests include canine dermatology and feline internal medicine. She believes in the importance of treating pets like family, and in taking the time to listen and communicate with owners. Outside of work she enjoys reading,dancing, hiking, and spending time at the beach. Dr. Shoberg and her husband live with their son, a golden retriever and two cats.
Dr. Misha Thompson:
Dr. Thompson grew up right here in Hillsboro, OR. She did her undergraduate studies at Oregon State University and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. She grew up with many animal family members and developed an interest in animal health at a young age. She loves being able to help pets stay healthy and happy and is thankful she is able to make an impact on the lives of the people and animals in this community. She lives with a cat named Benny and loves to be outdoors in her free time.
