Technician Appointment FAQ

What is a technician (tech) appointment?

We offer this service as a courtesy to our clients with pets who have been seen at our practice within the last year. A tech appointment is appointment time that has been set aside for services such as: vaccines, trim nails, express anal glands, etc. 

How long will this appointment take?

We know that your time is very valuable. Generally speaking these appointments are very quick. It can take anywhere from 5-10 minutes depending on what is being done. 

Why is my pet taken "into the back"?

We do not reserve in room time for these Technician appointments. We waive our office call fee because these appointments are not taking up in room space. Our veterinary assistants escort your pet into the back, administer treatment and bring your pet back to you.

What if I want to be with my pet?

Please let the receptionist know when you make your appointment that you would prefer to be with your pet. We can set aside time for an in room appointment with a Doctor as opposed to a Technician appointment, so that you may stay with your pet. However, this is charged as an exam fee and service fee.
